Nitra Terms of Use

Welcome to Nitra (the “App”). Please read these Terms of Use before using the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

The App is an image-processing tool that may provide features including:

• expanding the luminance range and highlight presentation of selected photos;
• real-time or near-real-time preview and adjustment of processing parameters;
• generating and exporting HDR, gain map, and other supported image formats;
• saving, exporting, and sharing images through system features; and
• other related image-processing features introduced in future versions.

Specific features, output formats, and visual results may vary depending on App version, device model, display capabilities, and operating system version.

2. Image-Processing Results

The App computationally processes and transforms images based on the input image and parameters you select. Generating an expanded-dynamic-range rendition from a standard-dynamic-range source is an image-processing and inference process and does not mean that all original real-world luminance information lost in the source image has been recovered.

Visual results may differ across photos, displays, screen brightness levels, system settings, and viewing software. The developer does not guarantee that processed results will exactly match the HDR rendition of any particular camera, display, third-party application, or real-world scene.

3. Your Photos and Content

Ownership of photos and other content you import, process, or export through the App does not transfer to the developer.

The App does not claim ownership of your photos or images you create using the App.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use the photos, images, or other content you process through the App. You are responsible for legal issues arising from unauthorized content, including copyright, publicity, trademark, or other third-party rights.

4. On-Device Image Processing

The App's core image computation is performed locally on your device. The developer does not upload, store, or process photos imported for the core conversion features through developer-operated servers.

If a selected photo is stored in iCloud, Apple's system services may need to download the photo to your device over the network. This process is provided by Apple.

5. HDR and Format Compatibility

The App may support Adaptive HDR, Legacy HDR, Ultra HDR, or other gain-map and HDR image formats. Display and compatibility depend on whether the receiving device, operating system, application, and software support the relevant standards or metadata.

On software or devices that do not support the corresponding HDR or gain-map capabilities, an exported image may display only its standard-dynamic-range rendition or may look different from the preview shown in the App. This does not necessarily indicate that the exported file is damaged.

Compatibility may change as Apple, operating systems, image format standards, and third-party software are updated.

6. Usage Rules

You may use the App for personal or other lawful purposes, but you must not use the App to engage in activities that violate applicable laws or regulations.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you process, save, or share through the App complies with the laws and regulations applicable where you are located and does not infringe the lawful rights or interests of any third party.

7. Software License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on compatible Apple devices that you lawfully own or control.

Except as expressly permitted by applicable law, you may not engage in unauthorized copying, sale, rental, sublicensing, or other conduct that infringes the developer's lawful rights or interests in the App.

8. Paid Features and Purchases

Some features of the App may be available free of charge, while others may require unlocking through a one-time App Store purchase or another purchase method clearly presented to you.

The specific price, purchase method, and content unlocked are determined by the information displayed in the App and the App Store at the time of purchase.

Purchases, refunds, and related payment matters completed through the App Store are handled by Apple under its applicable rules.

9. Feature Updates and Changes

We may add, adjust, or remove certain features, parameters, or export formats for reasons including product development, image standards, system compatibility, or other reasonable considerations.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep the App operating normally, but we cannot guarantee that every feature or export format will remain available on every device, operating system version, or third-party viewing environment.

10. Disclaimer

The App is provided as available.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that the App will be entirely free from errors, interruptions, compatibility issues, color differences, or image-processing anomalies on every device or system environment.

We recommend keeping an unmodified original file before processing important photos.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for data loss or other losses caused by device failure, operating system errors, insufficient storage space, iCloud service issues, third-party software compatibility, user error, or other circumstances beyond the App's reasonable control.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any consumer right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Intellectual Property

Except for content imported or created by users, intellectual property rights in the App itself—including its software code, interface design, icons, brand identifiers, built-in resources, and other legally protected content—belong to the developer or the applicable rights holders.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit such content without authorization in a manner that infringes the relevant intellectual property rights.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms to reflect changes to the App's features, legal or regulatory requirements, or operational needs.

Updated Terms will be published on the applicable page, and the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page will be revised. If applicable law requires us to obtain further consent from you, we will do so as required.

13. Governing Law

These Terms will be interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws and regulations applicable to you. Nothing in these Terms affects any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
